Winslet disclosed that this memorable meeting took place in 1996 at the royal premiere of Sense and Sensibility, a time long before she became an ambassador for the King’s Foundation. At just 20 years old, she was completely unprepared for the face-to-face meeting with the then-Prince of Wales. It wasn’t until he approached her that she suddenly remembered the bold outfit she had opted for.
The ensemble in question was a striking black lace catsuit adorned with a sheer paisley design, which left very little to the imagination. Underneath, she wore matching boy shorts, but the overall appearance was undeniably daring. Winslet humorously recalled her immediate sense of panic, stating, “He’s getting closer, and all I can think is, ‘Nipples, nipples, nipples… oh no!’” she shared with laughter on Kimmel’s show.
