This latest collection marks a significant milestone for Brownswood Recordings, as the label celebrates its decade-long journey. The inaugural vinyl release is thoughtfully divided into two parts, continuing the mission of highlighting fresh, emerging talent.
The roster of independent musicians featured in the Brownswood Bubblers series is nothing short of remarkable. With past contributors such as Flying Lotus, Dam-Funk, and Floating Points, these compilations have consistently spotlighted the promising figures of the underground music scene. As the first new compilation since 2014, Brownswood Bubblers Twelve aims to identify the artists poised to shape the music landscape in 2017 and beyond, serving as a reliable source for discovering burgeoning musicians.
Given that it has been three years since the last Bubblers installment, an abundance of exhilarating new music has accrued, necessitating two separate releases. The second part follows the initial edition that debuted in April (with the vinyl version released in June). Additionally, a double CD compilation of both parts is scheduled for release on August 25th, coinciding with the vinyl launch of part two.
