If you grew up in the mid to late 2000s, the lineup for this event is bound to evoke some strong nostalgia. Coming to Queen Mary Park in Long Beach on Saturday, May 4, is the debut festival, Just Like Heaven.
This festival will showcase the very artists that dominated my playlists during high school, where breakup, makeup, and makeout mix CDs were adorned with colorful Sharpie designs on shiny silver covers. Headlining is an indie powerhouse quartet featuring Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beach House, and Passion Pit celebrating the decade of their iconic album, Manners, alongside an equally impressive supporting lineup. The festival will also highlight the dance music that defined the era, including acts like Miike Snow, STRFKR, and Washed Out. With a revived cultural interest in the 2000s, Just Like Heaven is perfectly timed to offer a refreshing escape from today’s challenges.
Tickets will be available for purchase this Friday, February 8 at 10 AM. Secure yours here.
