Manchester is home to one of the rapidly expanding festivals in England, attracting a plethora of music lovers and electronic music fans. Over the past five years, the Parklife festival has significantly increased in popularity and now takes place at Heaton Park on June 11 and 12. This year, an astonishing 50,000 attendees are expected each day to join in the celebrations, dancing and enjoying a variety of live performances. The lineup for 2016 features a stellar list of headliners, including The Chemical Brothers, Maceo Plex, Busta Rhymes, Chase & Status, Bastille, Four Tet b2b Floating Points, among many other talented musicians.

The festival boasts eight distinct stages, each catering to a wide range of musical preferences throughout the two-day event. One notable stage is the Now Wave stage, featuring headliners like the Canadian producer Kaytranada, the Norwegian sensation Todd Terje, American rapper Goldlink, and British talents such as Snakehips, Shura, and Maribou State. The diverse lineup of international acts across the stages contributes to Parklife’s unique atmosphere.

Supporting the festival is the Manchester Warehouse Project, which has curated its own stage at the event. Dubbed “The Temple,” this stage showcases an exceptional range of house artists, including headliners like Seth Troxler b2b with The Martinez Brothers, the German talent Solomun, Hot Since 82 alongside Heidi, and many more on the first day.

On the second day, the main stage hits a high note with an eclectic array of performers. Major Lazer injects a dose of Trinidadian flair with Jillionarie and Diplo spinning the decks. Skepta delivers his characteristic Grime sound, while Annie Mac presents a curated mix of international tunes. Earlier in the day, Jess Glynne will grace the stage with her heartfelt lyrics, ensuring both days of the festival cater to every musical taste!

Tickets for both days are priced at £95, with single-day access available for £55 through the festival’s official website. It’s important to note that Parklife does not provide camping facilities, so attendees should plan their transportation accordingly for both days. While the music wraps up at 11 PM, shuttle buses will be available to transport guests back to the city center after 6 PM until late.
